Sorry to post so late. Couldn't get to a computer.
Anyhow, got some injury updates. Randy Edsall said Donald Brown's ankle is healthy and ready to play while the team is about as rested and healed as it could hope.
Lawrence Green is back to practice, but we saw him walk into the cafeteria with a bulky leg brace and I can't think of anyway he is going to play anytime soon. Alex LaMagdelaine is the starter and has played well at left guard.
As far as other injuries, Ryan Henegan is backing up Lawrence Wilson at the WILL while Greg Lloyd is getting time at middle linebacker.
We haven't seen Aaron Bagsby since the season opener and he is now off the depth chart with a shoulder injury. Safety is thin, with frosh Kijuan Dabney the backup now.
Randy Edsall isn't laying the respect card with the Huskies. Last check, they are the only undefeated I-A team not in the top 25, but that matters little. He doesn't care.
The players want the respect a little more, but it is secondary to winning.
At some point I imagine you would want to get some credit for what your doing.
Update: A funny (at least for me) observation -- Listening to the interview tape and it is uncanny how similar Tyler Lorenzen and Randy Edsall are. Lorenzen says the exact same thing as his coach. It's like it's planned. something They their own speech writer or . They both hit the same exact buzz words every week.
I swear they have one mind.
Lorenzen has a fun personality and an awe shucks demeanor, but he is like a politician on topic and he is so disciplined and doesn't stray from the message. He plays quarterback like that too. When it isn't a football question or about next weeks game, Lorenzen is great. A topical question? He is just so careful and measured in what he says. Big contrast to Dan Davis, who should go into talk radio. Davis is careful, but he is so energetic and charming he really makes it a conversation.
Davis just likes to talk. Incredibly personable.
Anyhow, not complaining, it just strike me how similar Edsall and Lorenzen sound. They got to be reading from the same cliff notes (chances are Tyler wrote them).
Another observation. 30 minutes of questions from the media and not one question on the QB position to Edsall. What does that say about the stability of that position this year?
