Keys to the Louisville game

Here we are. Going to leave for the stadium at 2:30. Remember, live game blogging, at least as much as I can.

Keys to the game

Pressure Brian Brohm

It goes without saying. Unless the Huskies feel they can win a game in the 40s, they must pressure Brohm. It isn’t necessarily sacks, but the defense has to move Brohm around in the pocket. The defensive line has to get pressure and they are going to have to knock him around and make Brohm feel uncomfortable.

Finish off drives

UConn has to complete long drives with touchdowns. The Huskies are going to need to put up a lot of points and they can’t get there kicking short field goals. Every field goal inside the redzone is four points lost.

Pound the football with the run

Louisville is giving up 160 yards a game rushing on defense. The best way to stop Brohm and Co. is to keep them on the sidelines. Time consuming ball control offense is still the best defense.
