Here is Friday's notebook on Anthony Sherman. he is going to be a good player here. I had some other stories too, but the illustrious JI website ate them. Spend 50 cents and buy the paper. It's great to use as cover for your floor when you are painting (to think we work so hard to end up at the bottom of a bird cage).
Oh well. Nice win by Boston College. I thought Ryan showed why he is going to win the Heisman and why he is going to be very very good NFL quarterback. Mobility in the pocket, can throw the ball with accuracy and touch, and he has a pro arm. He made 7 or 8 throws that were just NFL throws, including the game-winner which showed great arm strength.
I want my QB accurate first, and then a strong arm closely behind. Ryan has both.

The interesting thing about Ryan was he did nothing until 2 minutes remained in the 4th and then led them down the field for 2 touchdowns in the pouring rain. I thought VT did a good job keeping him from setting his feet and throwing downfield but I was a little shocked BC didnt try to run the ball more. Needless to say, I would be thrilled if my team drafted Ryan. I do think, though, Tim Tebow is currently the man to beat for the Heisman. He is a one man wrecking crew and fun to watch.
I would go Ryan if they go undefeated over Tebow. Just a matter of preference. I think if BC makes the national title game, Ryan is a lock.
