Big East thoughts

Waiting for that big Rutgers-Cincy game.

Just some thoughts as I try to semi keep track of USF-Fla Atlantic. Big East sweatin' but USF is going to hold on.

Anyhow, Louisville has officially collapsed. From top 10 team to bowl question? They would take the International Bowl in a second at this point. Fans aren't happy with Steve Kragthorpe. Warning sign against Mid Tenn. St. You got to trust what your eyes tell you regardless of competition. If the 'Ville ends 5-7 or 4-8, I won't be surprised. The team is better than its playing, but I am not sure they can pull out of the funk. It's so hard to get back on the track in college. I wonder of Brohm wishes he was playing QB in the NFL right now.

If they held on against Kentucky they probably are undefeated right now. But it's just not going well. They can't get past these loses. They are done. Syracuse is 1-5 and been non-competiitve in 5 of the losses. Only win they get is at Lousiville. Not a good sign for Cardinals. Suddenly homecoming looks winnable for the Huskies. (Who would have thought that?).

Don't have ESPNU, so can't watch the USF game. But if there is any team in the country that shouldn't overlook a Florida college football team isn't it USF? There are so many players in Florida they have to know it won't be an easy walkover. These games are always dangerous anyway. The kids on Fla International played against the USF kids in high school. They aren't scared. Can't wait to hear people claim that USF should drop a long way because they struggled with Florida International.

It's coming people, especially from those who want a one loss SEC team in the BCS title hunt (Auburn beats Florida, but loses at home to USF, but somehow Florida should still get a berth over an undefeated USF team if Florida wins the SEC championship and is a one loss team). I can hear the whining already.

If this happens, you are in for a major argument and I imagine the Gators will overtake everyone but USC in the polls if it knocks off LSU. If Boston College (who is very very good) or USF goes undefeated, they should both be in the national title game over a 1 loss SEC team.

What would college football do if USF and BC are undefeated and USC, LSU, Cal, Ohio State and Florida all have one loss? ...Just too many variables now to try and get there. We'll figure it out in three weeks.

Anyhow, we'll see which team is a fraud with Rutgers-Cincy. Not sure how good each team is. Perfect game to figure out which is legit, which is a fraud or if they are both legit or both frauds. Love these kind of games.
