Keys to the West Virginia game

Keys to the game

Capitalize on turnovers

West Virginia has a penchant for fumbling and the Huskies can’t let those opportunities pass. West Virginia doesn’t lose if it doesn’t turnover the ball. In its only loss, West Virginia committed six turnovers and loss quarterback Patrick White to injury in the second half.

Take an early punch

The crowd is going to be ferocious, and the Huskies have to be prepared to rebound from an early score or big play. Even if UConn trails by a couple of early and they have to take those early punches and let the game get away from them. This game has to get to the second half.

Big plays need

West Virginia has no shortage of big play threats, but who are the Huskies? They are going t need running backs Andre Dixon and Donald Brown to make plays. Tyler Lorenzen is going to do a little more than just manage the game. He has to make plays with by running and they needs to get the ball downfield to Brad Kanuch or Terrence Jeffers. Someone in the wide receiving corps is going to have to make a big play.
