Greetings from Kentucky

Yes, that is where am now. "But your supposed to go to Cincinnati, aren't you.?" No, I didn't book the wrong flight (I know that's what your thinking).

Yes, the Cincy airport is located across the river in Northern Kentucky.

The confusion is ok. A couple of years ago the JI's Sherm Cain went to the Kentucky Derby for the first time and wrote a great column --great column-- on the Kentucky Derby and the never-ending party.

He also took a shot at Cincinnati about how the bars close at the Cincinnati Airport and that is why no one goes to Ohio. A day later Mr. Cain got an email from a reader who alerted him to the fact that the airport was in fact Kentucky, but the reader loved the column anyway. Cain knew that. He flew into Cincinnati Airport to get to the Derby. It actually ruined the column. Oh well, still a great read.

Anyhow, here in Erlander, Kentucky. Sat next to a nice guy from Bristol on the plane ride down who was headed to the Tennessee-Arkansas game on Saturday then over to Nashville for the Titans- Jacksonville game. I am jealous.

I got keys to the game and stuff a little later. Right now, having a minor meltdown because no sports bar in the area has NBA League pass. Dying to watch the Celtics tonight. I called a couple of places and they laughed me off the phone.

Too bad the Pacers are in Charlotte. I would have made the trip to Indianapolis to watch them play tonight if they were home. I need an NBA fix, and Nuggets-Wizards isn't it for me.
