ESPN to pick up UConn game!...In California

Don't want to go to a bar to watch the UConn-Rutgers game? Just fly on out to Southern California, visit some old friends, and turn on ESPN.

So how come the game can't be shown on ESPNews, ESPN2, ESPN or Classic in Connecticut?

Boy does ESPN have everything locked down or what? They are CLEARLY driving the price up for their programming NATIONALLY and getting away with it... It goes to show EVERYTHING costs MORE MONEY in this country... EVERYTHING...and they're able to get away with it... Yet drug smuggling is considered worse? When the reality is with drug trafficking is "contained" or "controlled" by the government... nobody will admit it though because it's such a damn money maker... EXPLOIT EXPLOIT EXPLOIT...kudos to ESPN the new AMERICAN GANGSTER...

Pablo Escobar -- thanks for reading the blog. LOL.

I get what your saying. ESPN is ubiquitous and own everything. It's unfortunate that there are only few outlets besides ESPN to watch games outside of network TV. Everything else is being swallowed.

In one sense, the glut of games is great for football fans, but, it does seem ESPN cares only about its business and programming. Big East took the money, but it should still be a relationship.

I think fans are sick of being used as pawns in these cable war battles. Comcast cable stinks, I hate it, but this is ESPN's fault. I think they were shocked for the perhaps the first time they were portrayed as the bad guys. It's sentiment many teams feel across the country.
