Just finishing up some stuff for scout.com. Here is the JI's stories on tonight's (last night?) game.
My final thought from the game is just how remarkable the win is. It's the best UConn has ever had considering the circumstances.
I can't help but feel positive about the team going forward. You would think losing the starting the QB, and watching the defense get destroyed would give me pause. I am now officially more worried about the defense (passing defense has been awful two weeks) than the offense.
Zach Frazer was impressive tonight, though like the Presidential debates, it is an expectations game (can't believe I missed it. going to be up late watching replay) .
One thing is clear is that Frazer can throw the ball. I was also impressed about his ability to throw after moving in the pocket. Lorenzen's strength is managing the game, running ability, and accuracy. Frazer has to be careful about his mechanics, but the kid can throw the ball. He made a couple of beautiful throws.
I do wonder. Edsall gave Frazer the No. 2 slot just this week because he liked what he saw after weeks of Frazer dealing with the concussion in the fall camp.
Cody Endres was the backup of through four games. The backup QB has been a week-to-week thing. Is Frazer now the No. 1?
What are the chances that Frazer was going to get in? There was also no waver from Edsall. That requires tremendous discipline.
I don't know. I think Frazer can throw the ball, and Brown is running so well, sometimes all the QB has to do is handoff. But, considering the situation Frazer gets an A+.
The defense is a concern. They are getting killed underneath. It's 10 and 15 yards at will it seems.
Chow,let me get to sleep.
