Pre game Pitt

Setting the scene: Beuatiful day for football. It's a slight breeze coming off the Allegany River and perfect sweatshirt weather.

The Huskies come in 3-1 off a bye week and are primed to play.

Quick news:

Other things to watch out for:

Pittsburgh's pass rush: The Panthers lead the nation in sacks at 23 and the Huskies need to keep the pressure of Cody Endres. That makes ball control and offensive line play key.

Passing game: The Panthers have been shredded in the passing game at times this season noticable N.C. State in a 38-31 loss. The Huskies aren't going to turn into the Air Endres attack, but they have to throw enough to take advantage of the Panthers' weakness.

Turnovers: The Huskies can't be minus in the turnover battle. UConn can't win this game if they give up points or leave it on the field.

Quick update: Not official yet, but Mike Ryan will start at left tackle in place of Dan Ryan. We'll see what the lineup is on the way out. This is performance, no injury.  Be back soon.
