Sunday wrap

Quick news, safety Kijuan Dabney is out for the year and will have surgery on his shoulder. He didn't play Saturday. It's a problem he has had since the summer. Running back Kelmetrus Wylie is out 4-6 weeks with a fractured forearm (didn't hear which arm).

Tough break for both. Dabney hasn't taken a redshirt year, I don't know if he played too much this year already to apply for a medical redshirt. I think the only game he saw extensive action was against UNC. Not sure how much special team work he got.

As far as the big news about Zach Frazer and Scott Lutrus, they are out and not cleared for contact. Edsall has no idea when they will return. You can't have a QB controversy until Frazer is healthy. I am getting more concerned about Lutrus. If he can't play against Pittsburgh in two weeks it goes from a nagging injury to very serious. Frazer? He has to show he is healthy before he is even in the mix. Just not healthy right now, and I don't believe that is fully spin (he has to have a target date in his mind).

Game balls out to Cody Endres, Reggie McClain and Trevardo Williams on special teams.

On a side note, the fact that USF is not in the top 25 this week is a travesty. Sure they had a light schedule, but that win at FSU was a big-time performance. When Miami beats FSU it's an incredible win. When FSU betas BYU it's an incredible win. When USF goes into Tallahasee and beats FSU, it's because FSU is overrated. The southern conference bias in the AP poll is so pronounced it makes it a farce.
