The disaster of the safety possession started with Moe Petrus thinking he hard the snap count. It's all on Petrus:
"It was loud and I thought I heard him say HIT,"Petrus said. "I couldn’t hear cadence. It was a communication error and my fault.
Ryan said he didn't think it was a hold. I didn't see a replay, but from those who did they said it was a hold. Here is Ryan.

Edsall was more in the cheer up mode after the game. And you want to be a football coach?
(UConn) is a good football team in that locker room. We came up a little bit short. This game is over. It’s 0-0 on the clock. You can’t get it back when it’s over. All you can do as a coach, parent, teacher, when make a mistake or the game is over you coach them up.
“There won’t be any screaming, yelling and hollering, and go correct it. We will hit field at

You cannot harp on the safety; the game shouldn't have been lost on 1 play; it shouldn't have come to that. In any event, UCONN cannot compete with the ACC.
Harp on the play? It cost UConn the game. At worst it's overtime. UConn can not compete with the ACC? Did you watch the game?
Huskies should have won. I think they acquitted themselves just fine on Saturday. Butch Davis sure seemed to think so.
Bad loss for the Huskies and a weird way to lose. Give credit to the UNC defense which is fantastic.
I agree, UConn plsyed well and hung in with a top 20 team and, quite frankly, should have won the game. UConn was a safety away from winning the game. It was the correct call too, definitely a hold in the endzone. Lets hope Frazer is good to go soon. Great game by the D, without Lutrus, they stifled their offense.
