Just some quick thoughts on yesterday's game. I don't think I have ever seen a more somber 35-3 win.
It's how you win these games that count, and I think the Huskies fell short. Two disturbing thoughts.
1. Obviously, three INTs by Tyler Lorenzen was a shocker. Also, the passing game just wasn't great. The offense outside of Donald Brown was pedestrian. If you can't throw it deep against Hofstra, who can you throw it against?
2. Defense had some good numbers, bu the time of possession and the penchant for losing contain on third and long remained. Bend but not break is not an option this year, it should be "stand firm."
I don't think the Huskies found out anything about themselves on Thursday night.
Be back at 4 p.,m for the Huskies day after teleconference.
Also, a Phil Chardis column and a notebook.
