Wednesday's JI

First off, of course, here is today's story on Tyler Lorenzen and the QB situation. It's too bad he got hurt. I would have liked to see the Huskies have him through this entire season. He isn't the passer that Endres and Frazer are, but he has so much more command of the huddle (senior QB and a winner).

It's going to help the Huskies in the long run with Frazer and Endres, and they will be better next year for it. But, I think Lorenzen and his experience could have pulled out the Rutgers or the West Virginia game. I am sure against Rutgers with Lorenzen at QB they wouldn't have been so conservative offensively. Against WVU, I think he could have created some things with his legs and got first downs when they need to in the third quarter. It's more little things and demeanor than talent.

The Huskies are well-stocked for the future at QB and its amazing that they are still contenders with the second or third string in. Still, you would like to not have injuries to your QB and top defensive back. Tough breaks for the Huskies.
