Bon Voyage

Going to hit the sack right now, but I am heading up to Toronto at 6 a.m Wednesday.

I am going to try and blog exhaustively, but I do eventually have to sleep. Tomorrow's itinerary is hit Toronto at 830 am and then I have an interview set up with Toronto Raptors guard Will Solomon of East Hartford. If you don't know, I am a big NBA fan (watching Celtics-Portland right now) and I find Will's career fascinating. Kill two birds with one stone here. I will have a story on Solomon next week.

Have no fear, college football is what I am up there for and I will be heading to UConn's practice at 3:30 in Skydome (I hate the new corporate name).

I'll try and give the flavor of the city.

Big East has a chance to go undefeated. If Pitt wins I like the chances of Cincy and UConn.

Now, onto pressing matters.

What did you think of Papajohns game? That's where UConn is headed unless they win the Big East. It's the final year of the bowl contracts and I will go on record of picking bowl games for next year. This is easy.

BCS: Pitt
gator: Notre Dame (even after a Huskies 27-22 in South Bend late in Novemeber)
Meineke: Rutgers
Toronto: South Florida
Papajohns: UConn
St. Pete: West Virginia

Take it to the bank. The bids are settled. It's BCS or Birmingham for the Huskies.

UConn is winning the Big East next year if Brown comes back. Pitt can never win a championship, it's called the Wannstedt Rule.

By the way, the PapaJohns Bowl looked pretty good on TV. Decent weather, field looked nice and a really nice crowd thanks to about 10,000 NC State fans and a good turnout from Rutgers.
