Big East team was announced and DE Lindsey Witten, LB Lawrence Wilson and G Zach Hurd were named to the Big East all first team. On the second team was Greg Lloyd as well as Andre Dixon and Jordan Todman.
Jasper Howard was named team captain. That's a nice touch by the Big East.
As far as the other side, just when you think Notre Dame saga is almost over Randy Edsall's name pops up again. Courtesy of Joe Schad at ESPN.com says there continues to be "mutual interest."
I don't know what "mutual interest" means, but it's clear that Edsall may be in the on deck circle if things don't work out with Brian Kelly.
Huskies get back to practice tomorrow. Edsall is scheduled to be in Birmingham for Papajohns.com Bowl stuff, tomorrow. I would imagine things have to fall apart with Kelly, which other reports say could be named coach as early as Friday.
Edsall hasn't talked to the media since Sunday when during a conference call about the Papajohns.com Bowl he declined to address rumors about his interest in the Notre Dame job.
